Now that you have decided to enroll as a Distributor Lets get started making some money & having fun!
Step 1 – Enroll & Order 4 or more packs of wholesale products
Your first step is to become a distributer, just click on the enroll now button and sign up under the person who introduced you to the business. Fill in the information and select 1 or more items for your monthly auto ship order. Your website will be set up as soon as you complete the enrollment form and click the “SIGN ME UP” button.
Now since the auto ship order is sent out in bulk US mail only once a month you may not get that order for 2 or 3 weeks. So the next step is to place a small wholesale order on your new website for of a few packages or a case for samples to try for yourself and to offer people you meet on a day-today basis. This is a great way to introduce your product to people. To place your first wholesale order, Log into your new website by clicking on the “Account Login” button. Then click on the “Buy Wholesale” I recommend ordering at least 1 of each type of jerky to try for yourself, 1-beef, 1-buffalo, 1-turky, and 1-fruit. Or you can get the combo case with 24 different types. This order will ship the next day UPS and you will have the product in just a few days to enjoy and share.
Step 2 – Explore your new Jerky Direct website
Spend a few minutes getting to know your website. It’s actually two websites in one. The first side is what the general public and you’re customers see, this is the retail and opportunity side were they can view and place orders for your jerky products, and were you can send your friends and prospects to learn about the business opportunity, watch the video and enroll as a distributor. It also has a wholesale and marketing side for your own business called the back office. To access the back office you must logon using the User name and password you created when you enrolled.
Start with the retail store first. click on each button to view & read every page note that the welcome button has 3 sub-pages. Read them all and pay special attention to the “Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ’s page. This is important because these are the same questions that your customers and prospective distributers will ask you, so be prepared. After viewing all the pages to the retail or public side of your website, it’s time to explore the wholesale or back office side to your website. Click on the “ACCOUNT LOGIN” and view and read every page. Note the button for “PRINTABLE MATERIALS” since this is where we go to our next step.
Step 3 – Print Your Business cards
Log into your Jerky Direct website and select “Printable materials”. Then under business Cards click Download. This will open up a PDF template page for your business cards. You can edit the information such as adding your spouse name or a shorter domain name for your website. Put in the Avery Card stock and select print. Always carry cards with you and hand them out to all you meet, let them know about your new website advertise it. Be excited and show it.
Step 4 – Make your contact list
Make a list This is how you start getting customers to your website and building your team of distributors. Write down everyone you know Who do you know? Write down the names, phone numbers, & emails of ALL your friends, neighbors, relatives, workmates, and small business. Don’t leave anyone out and defiantly don’t pre judge who you think may or may not be interested.
Step 5 – Make phone calls & send emails
What to say Hi _____ I have some exciting news, (pause) I have a new website. Have them go to your website & watch the video. Tell them you will call them back in a couple of days to get their opinion.
Step 6 – Sign up or follow up
Call them back and give them a choice to Become a distributor, a preferred customer, or place an order to sample.

#4 - Business-to-Business SALES
If you own your own bricks and mortar storefront, the Spinner Rack (seen at left) is an ideal tool. Be sure to order your display rack and begin selling to your customers. As an Independent Distributor you are the OWNER of your own business, which makes you responsible for the liability of your personal company. Therefore, here are some things you should consider before selling to other businesses. What is said here is not meant to scare you away from biz to biz sales, but rather to give you some meaningful information so that you can determine if this business is right for you. TO THE BUSINESS YOU ARE SELLING TO:
|
BIZ TO BIZ CORPORATE SALES
STRATEGY:
Direct Sales to a corporate business is not to be entered into lightly. It is a J.O.B.. You must be willing to WORK to be successful. You've all seen the delivery guys who deliver anything from novelties to milk at your local convenience store... they may be an employee of a company, such as the "milk man". OR, they may be an INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTOR, such as the person delivering novelties or the Schwan's Ice Cream man... who must purchase his own truck.
You pay for your own gas, process the store's orders, and YOU deliver the product and stock the shelves. THIS IS YOUR ROLE. But, most importantly, YOU must provide the customer service and YOU are responsible for the liability of your business.
In addition...
How much should you charge?
If you are selling jerky to a business for them to re-sell, it is advisable to always sell by the case. This will allow them enough margin to re-sell the product at a reasonable price. The Spinner Rack will hold up to 4 cases of product.
Always charge at least your Storefront Price of $102.50 or more... WHY? You are in business to make a PROFIT and in Biz to Biz sales you have overhead: gasoline, office supplies, copying charges for forms, time involved in meetings, delivery of product to the business, marketing, etc. You will earn 20% on their retail sale.
SHOULD YOU ENROLL YOUR BUSINESS CUSTOMER?
If you ENROLL your business customer, what happens? You make 5% of the WHOLESALE purchase ($4.10/case which is only 17 cents/bag)...
That's a 75% loss of profit.
Why not purchase at wholesale from YOUR back office?
By purchasing from your JD storefront, your customer can place his own order and pay with a credit card, at no extra charge to you! And you won't have to try to figure out what the shipping charge is.
Set your goals! Things to consider:
How much money do you want to make? How many accounts will you need? How many cases will you need to sell?Example: Your profit per case is $20.00 and you want to make $1,000/month minimum.
You will need 50 accounts purchasing 1 case/mo. ($1000 /$20.00) - or
1 account purchasing 50 cases/mo!You can approach locally owned 1-store businesses, or go for a small chain of locally owned stores. Let's say your local Liquor Store owner has 10 stores - if they each go through 5 cases/mo. you would make $1000/mo. with just ONE customer - the Liquor Store chain.
